We live in Mason City, a little town of about 175 people in the heart of beautiful Nebraska. We're small town folk, enjoying very much the place God put us.
There are 2 of us now. I am John and this beautiful lady is my wife Miriam. We raised together four girls, all of whom are now married, and two sons.
We enjoy traveling, playing games, camping, fishing, hiking, and spending time with family and friends.
From 1993, Miriam and I served with InFaith as Area Missionaries to 15 counties in central Nebraska. Our work with all age groups included directing Homeward Trail Bible Camp, pastoring a local church, VBS, Bible studies, AWANA, youth groups, pulpit supply, interim pastoring, and some individual discipleship.
We currently serve as missionaries, raising our own support, in the role of InFaith Regional Director. We humbly serve the needs of missionaries and candidates in our region, to do what we can to help them serve well our Lord Jesus Christ who called them into His service. InFaith missionaries in Colorado, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, and small parts of Idaho and Minnesota. We love serving beside our missionaries as they fulfill the great commission (Matthew 28:19-20) by evangelizing, congregating, and discipling people unreached by evangelical churches or other evangelical ministries. We also spend much time in prayer for our missionary's work, families, and most of all their walk with Jesus.
We want more than anything to know the Lord Jesus better and to make Him known to others, mainly through the teaching of the Bible. John's favorite verse is Hebrews 4:12 "For the Word of God is living and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."
Miriam's favorite verse is Philippians 1:6 "being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;" No matter what is thrown your way, we can be confident that God has a plan and He will see us through.
We choose Joshua 24:15 as our family slogan. "... But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD."
