From 1993, Miriam and I served with InFaith as Area Missionaries to 15 counties in central Nebraska. Our work with all age groups included directing Homeward Trail Bible Camp, pastoring our local Baptist church, VBS, Bible studies, AWANA, youth groups, pulpit supply, interim pastoring, and some individual discipleship.
We currently serve as missionaries, raising our own support, in the role of InFaith field director. We provide understanding ears, strong shoulders, and by God's grace some wise and Biblical counsel to InFaith missionaries in Colorado, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, and small parts of Idaho and Minnesota. We love serving beside our missionaries as they fulfill the great commission (Matthew 28:19-20) by evangelizing, congregating, and discipling people unreached by evangelical churches or other evangelical ministries. We also spend much time in prayer for our missionary's work, families, and most of all their walk with Jesus.
I (John) want more than anything to know the Lord Jesus better and to make Him known to others, mainly through the teaching of the Bible. Hebrews 4:12 "For the Word of God is living and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."
Miriam's favorite verse is Philippians 1:6 "being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;" No matter what is thrown your way, we can be confident that God has a plan and He will see us through.
We choose Joshua 24:15 as our favorite family slogan. "... But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD."
